I liked the wide-eyed look and head angle but wasn't sure about the mid-body comp. 40D, 400DO + 1.4xTC, f6.3, 1/250s, ISO 400. +1/3 EC, removed a sliver of another sheep's rear end, handheld, full frame.

Excellent exposure and detail. Don't mind the mid body but might take a little off the rhs to eliminate the white rump patch as it draws the eye slightly. Very well done. TFS

I agree with Todd on the crop, but overall this image gives me a wonderful idea of the stregth of these animals, I certainly would not wish to be butted.

Hey Steve, with that dominating head, intense eye contact, sharp detail in good light, there's no need to worry about the rest of the body. Comp works fine as is. Killer BG too. Well captured.

Good looking Ram and love those wild eyes !!! Agree with Todd on just taking out the white rump, cropping any more would have the head centered !! Good crop !!!

A lovely animal, tack sharp, and having checked the possible square crop, I agree with loosing only the white rump.

Hey Steve,
Agree with the white rump crop off and then perhaps a bit off top/bottom to keep proportions? Super detail and pose.

Todds suggestion to lose the white rump fits with my thoughts.

Great eye contact.
