Don't get any better than this Dale! Great comp, exposure and detail. Mouthful of grass is icing on the cake. I like the blurred fg. TFS

Very nice indeed Dale,

Great DOF for f4 on a 500mm. It looks like it was raining which has helped with the details in the shadow areas.

I now need to add Bear Workshop onto the wish list.....

Someone's at least eating healthy food. Just a beautiful shot all around. Loved the different shades of green in the BG.

This is so good! The pose is great and the bear is really cute!
I love the food in his mouth and the out of focus flowers in the background.

Dale, as others have said: lovely image.

I am going to turn this into a learning experience, at least for me; ok?

f/4: shallow DOF; the sharp area in the grass appears to be at the bear's right leg area.

Where was the point of focus; normally I would assume the right eye however that area of the bear is not critically sharp.

I always focus on the eye and recompose as required... Eye looks razor sharp on oringinal?????

I always focus on the eye and recompose as required... Eye looks razor sharp on oringinal????? That is what I would have thought. The fur on the front legs appears a bit sharper on my monitor. Looking at the grass that is sharp and realizing that the bear standing up is totally on the same plane of focus as the sharp grass, shouldn't the whole bear from the grass to the eye have basically the same level of sharpness?

Thanks,

Love the upright pose, coloration and the grass in the mouth puts this over the top for me, a wonderful image
