Natural colors in the water - that's what caught my eye - could not find any birds.

Nice comp Jeff, I might crop just a bit from the top to the first piece of foam. Also I wonder what it would look like warmed up a bit in colour temperature. The silky water and colours of the water look great. I had a poor day of shooting too:(

Jackie, I cut from top and added a slight warming filter (maybe more on the slider)?

Repost works for me Jeff - great feeling of movement- Pretty much just personal taste on these.

Do like the repost better Jeff. I think our eyes are more attracted to warm than cold colours IMHO. Crop works for me. Very nice.

Good eye Jeff, very artistic shot! This would be a great image to take into one of the creative filters or plugins also...

Great ideal Kerry, maybe I need to visit the OOTB forum. On a different note, I purchased my first Cokin P-Series holder and a Singh-Ray ND 3 Stop Soft Edge Filter this week. I read an article about a beautiful natural event called "The Terminator Line". For example once the sun goes beneath the earth's horizon often fantastic colors are produced. I will reference the magazine info later. I do not fully understand the entire thing - the point is I am playing with external and PS-internal filters, good ideal.

Sounds good Jeff! I have been wanting to experiment with lens filters also. So far I only have a circular polarizer and an ND8 solid filter for my 28-135mm.

The terminator line, or twilight zone (the original one!), passes over the earth twice every day, once at dawn and again at sunset. This is what gives us the magic light of pre-dawn and post-sunset. At the Salton Sea, in the southern desert of California, the twilight hour after sunset provides some amazing light!

Thanks Kerry, never heard of it before.

Nice one Jeff, very creative, I like how you leave the foamy water in. The lines imply fast moving motion of the water. The repose put this even better.

i'm loving the repost C$!! that's awesome work. well seen and well done. if you have color efex pro, give the bicolor filters a shot with this one. there might be one of those that will give you another mood/feel.

Hey Jeff,

Pretty cool image ;). A bit of tonal contrast tweaking and it will really sing.

Best,

Chas
