Shot this at Longwood Gardens last year. I like it but not quite sure how others feel...
Nikon D300,200mm macro, f/32, 1/60, flash -1 comp, 200 iso,tripod mtd

Dave, the colors are intense, but I like it! I'm no expert with fill flash, but to my eyes maybe you could have decreased it a bit more. I'm interested to hear what others think.:)

I think this is very nice Dave, I like all the flowers unfolding to reveal the center of the flower, and I think you did a good job with the framing. Think the flash looks OK.

I like the unconventional crop, Dave - everything that needs to be in the image is and there's nothing distracting or out of place. I also feel the flash feels just a tiny bit harsh towards the center of the flower - maybe toning down the mid or upper tones there would soften the feel (unless you are looking for a sharp, bold look in which case this definitely works!)

Hi Dave, i like how the curvature of the petals direct your eye to the flower center. I also feel that the flash is too harsh. Especially the strong shadows and to a lesser extent the highlights do not fit the soft mood that fits this image.
