Cropped lower grass portion to a pano format.
Three brothers from the Mapula/Vumbura area of the Moremi GR- Botswana Sept '09
Would have loved the attention of the middle bros also.

Marc, I like this:) Great feel, position and habitat, with a good choice of format.

Be interesting to see how it looks with a 'Nick Brandt' look ;) Not sure if clipping a cms off from the top might help, as the top branches I find slight distracting? But hey, that's me ;)

cheers

Hi Marc, I like it as posted, want to go back there soonest! Pity the middle brother did not bother to look at you- that would have really made the image.

Really like the habitat and the position of the lions and the tree seems to anchor the photo.

Marvelous to see three "proper" male Lions, reminds me of the good old days in Selinda and Lagoon!

Great feel Marc and do like the larger view !! Would crop some from the right to get the one branch out and maybe a tiny bit of the bottom !!! Love it !!

great 'scape Marc. agree with Al - a little more pano crop would do the trick for me here...

I like the depth provided by the two layers of BG trees.

Ah, what a magical scape! This image has as much visual value as it does natural-history value! Despite such contrasty light, I love the tones here, and the gently out-of-focus background with a bluish tinge simply completes what is a profound treat!
