I like the mood of this image. Well exposed, sharp and good comp (I might take a tad off the top, though), and action (snail or worm). Good low angle position. Nice background. I'm not sure if it would result in any improvement, but I'd be curious to see what the image would look like if marginally lighter (curves or levels).

Great capture with the prey - I like the BG. Wonder if a marginally higher viewpoint would have reduced the OOF foreground a little without threatening the BG. Some additional sharpening would optimise for web presentation and some NR on the BG would also be worth adding. Agree a slightly brighter version would be worth exploring.

I actually would take off just a tiny bit of the oof foreground. Agree that it needs to be lightened or perhaps shadows/highlight.
Great capture; you caught the instant perfectly plus you have the head at a good angle.

I like the shooting angle - great pose. I agree a bit lighter (brighter) would be nice. also the head looks like it has motion blurr (slight).

The fringed feathers, the consistent even patterning, and the warm buff tones on the breast are diagnostic of juveniles.
