Monitor?

I have a PC (dell dual core 3.20 ghz wth 4 gig of ram and 320 gig HD with 2 externals 1 TB and 600 gig with a 19" monitor)

The computer is now oh 4 yrs old I'm guessing so I'm either looking to get a new Imac 24" or maybe just get a nice 24" monitor with Ips panel.
I am not sure if adobe will allow me to change out both my PS4 and LR but I know some that they allowed to in the past.

What would you guys do?

I think they will transfer from PC to Mac.

I would stick with PC and upgrade to 64-bit OS and 64-bit Photoshop. In fact I intend to do just that in the not too distant future. Still lumbering along with 34-bit PS at the moment.

Being a PC user all of my life (Until 6 months ago) Id go with a MAC just made the change myself and have not looked back - heck you can even run windows on the thing if you want - I do for 1 Thing Only - The Fractilius filter for photoshop - if it wasn't for that, I would not need it at all.

If you switch to Mac, just give Adobe a call and they will transfer your license. The 24'' iMac does not have an IPS panel, only the new 21 and 27'' iMacs do. I switched to Mac 2 years ago and never looked back.

I think what I'm going to do is just get a new monitor I'm leaning towards this monitor http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=224-8284
It's a 27" with and IPS panel and then maybe get windows 7 and a wacom Intuos 4 medium

But before I do I'm going to go to one of the apple stores and play around with an Imac and see how I like it. I just found out the 24" is discontinued so it"ll be a 27" if I get one.

Brought a new 2.66 quad core 27 inch Imac home last Monday took it back on Tuesday for a 1 millimeter defect in the LCD panel Apple bent over backwards giving me a new computer to replace it with. Have not had any issues since then but there has been problems with the screens on the new imacs documented here http://imac.squeaked.com/test.php the staff at the Apple store were I bought mine were aware of the issue and had no problem testing the computer at the store for me neither of the two machines had the yellow tinge issue.
I also bought 4 more Gigs of Ram from here http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/iMac/DDR3_21.5_27 and saved over a hundred dollars off of Apples price.
