Busy trying to work down my unprocessed images from last year.

Liked this shot taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Very nice Morkel, one of your best IMHO, (including the little puppy, love that one!;))

Great detail & colour and catchlight too. A handsome beast.

Yup. Pretty neat Mork. Excellent composition and space: good light and eye contact. Will do for me. :):)

It's all about the light, which is what makes this fine image Morkel, perhaps a slightly tighter crop?

Oryx are one of the most difficult animals to capture a decent image of, usually because you see them in harsh desert environments, with bad light.

This is great, you even have a glint in the eye, definitely one for a tighter crop!

Morkel,

The repost is much better, I can see the glint even more!

Hey Mork, you repost works much better, and well timed to capture a great pose and eye contact. Light looks good too, not too harsh for that region. I feel adding some contrast to the BG may make this pop even more.

Both crops work for me. Being a landscape photographer, I quite like the first post for its' expansive feeling of the environment. Love both though.

Great image-check:) Nice one, Morkel, like cropped version the best, won't mind an oryx in good light in my files.

thanks Betsie...I've found that they're a bit like long-tailed birds: difficult to compose properly for!

Really like the light and the shadows in the background. I like the cropped version.
