What is the suggested way to calibrate a new Dell 2209WA IPS monitor. Is it a difficult process, what equipement is needed etc??. Any tips, or experience shared would be appreciated. Thks

I use the Spyder 2 Pro, the current version is Spyder 3.
The process is quite easy to follow... Colormunki is also another one that gets good revues

Calibrating a monitor is relatively straight forward with today's software and devices.
I have been using the X-Rite DTP-94 and Color Eyes Pro software for years now and recommend them highly. The DTP-94 I believe is still the top rated colormetric device. However, you can use a variety of devices, including the now bundled Spyder 3.

X-Rite Eye-One Match 3 is another option, works well with my desktop and laptop.

I have a 2209wa and calibrate it with a Spyder2 Express. I'm not even sure if it's still available, but it does a fine job on this monitor.
