Here he is again. Looking for critiques to improve this image. I selectively worked the perch and bird independently from one another. Thanks for the comments in advance.

Very nice! Love that red head, and the snack. Maybe just a little bit off the bottom, but I know the tail extends beyond what we see too so the virtual tail is well accounted for.

agree with jim. maybe a tick off the bottom. beautiful job on the bird and the perch. love the redheads.

Agree with the touch of the bottom. Absolutely stunning image, I was lucky enough to have one in my yard for several weeks last year but I never did get a decent picture of him.

Great exposure control, BG and details. It looks as if the bird is much sharper than the perch, though.

yes, each were selectively sharpened. With a contrasty perch sharpened as much as the bird, looks un-natural. I have been debating ... should have gone a bit sharper with the perch perhaps. Thanks for stopping by Axel. I'm off to Costa Rica in a couple weeks. ;)
