It took some patience to get this as there was an intermittent breeze, it was cold and my feet were wet through - still I loved every minute!

Stunning image and great moment captured Jonathan. Love the detail, colours, soft light and bg. Would maybe do a slight sharpening on the eyes but it is not a big issue. This could also work as a pano with less space on top and a little bit more on the left.:)

Very nice capture, Jonathan. Excellent job getting both damselflies in such sharp focus. I like the comp with the stem on a diagonal. Only suggestion I have is to possibly make it into a pano as Vida suggested. Very well done. :)

Great behavioral catch. Very sharp and nice background. I think you nailed it.

Great shot. Very sharp and wonderful light and colors. Great calm BG.
I only would crop a little from the top.

Jon, this is a beautiful df image but I have a question for you: with the breeze that was coming and going why didn't you open up your ISO a bit (maybe 200 or 400) and get the ss up from 1/13th? Even on a tripod, getting that little bit extra speed with moving objects would be nice.

I also vote for the pano crop and a bit of canvas added to the left side although what you have here is also very nice!

Last year I was totally convinced that the 50D produced noisy images so I always went for 100 when possible, the chances are that I did use 200 and 400 but I kept this one because it was less noisy. I am slightly less concerned about noise now but I don't think the 50D is as quiet as it should be, maybe if it was 12million pixels it would be a different story.
