This is the same Kestrel I posted taking off from a perch a few days ago. I didn't realize it had a mouse in its clutches until I began processing photos on my computer. It's not the sharpest photo in the world, but the half-eaten mouse makes this a keeper for me.

Great action, I wold sharpen it a little ore. I like the tail separated from the foot :)

Great capture here, Doug! I like the head on look and the prey is a huge bonus. Well done!

Nice work capturing this Kestrel with real prey. Fabs mentioned the seperation between the mouse's tail and the Kestrel's foot, a very nice subtlety that adds a lot to the image. Like you said, not the sharpest image, but definitely a keeper.
