I barely got to the park as the sun was going down and managed
to get my tripod up as the sun was setting. Lucky for me a few
clouds drifted in.

No cropping, some Topaz Adjust
Hitech soft 6 ND Grad Filter

BTW I know it appears that the lake might be unlevel
but when I looked at it on the grid view on Lightroom it looks
pretty straight.

Hi Gary, Very nice image caught at just the right time. The clouds and their reflections make the image. If this were my image I would take out the foreground foliage on the lower left and give the image some CCW rotation.
Pleasing image!!

Garry:

I am def. not a landscape guy, but I wish that the sun was just the slightest bit stronger here (more visible)

All the lovely leading lines from the clouds, shore, etc., and I wish there was that strong destination point in the image.

Forgive my tweaking, but since I couldn't change the suns visibility, I lightened the area where it is, increased the saturation, cropped up, did a few tweaks to luminosity and sat. in the clouds.

Just some tweaks to consider.

Cheers

Randy

I like this a lot. The combination of the blue and orange tones are great. I like the placement of the horizon.

Thanks to all for the great comments and advice. I took several shots and now I
going to see if I can find a capture that will let me keep the great clouds
and get rid of the branches in the bottom.

again thanks

Beautiful lake scene Garry, love the colors in the clouds.. I like Randy's re-post, and would also try to avoid the branches.
