This is UK's most popular bird - he's a perky little bird who is always on the lookout for a tit bit. Taken from my hide - tripod & mongoose head.

Other than going with a less squarish crop, I wouldn't change a thing. Nicely done!

Johnathan:

Well done, nice soft colors in bird and BG, interesting perch without being too much competition for the bird. I am OK with the crop, very personal thing.

The classic head angle for a look back pose is parallel to the sensor plane, but this image works well as is.

Cheers

Great colours. BG makes the bird pop and the whole bird is in focus for f4.. The perch adds extra I think. I would be tempted to take a bit more off the bottom so the branch starts from the bottom left corner.

Perfect pose form this alert individual. Lovely perch, and nice uniform BG (although I wish it was a bit darker). Gotta love the overcast light conditions!

Nice detail and sharpness. I also like the pose. Light wasn't great but you did well.

Nice pose, beautifully sharp and BG sets off the colours well.

Jonathan, good alert pose, or should I say posing proud. I like the contrasting colours on the robin, lovely perch, and all against a complimentary BG.
