I rode through Loop Road today, there are signs that say
local traffic only but everyone is riding around them.
The road is rutted but I saw small cars going around the huge
potholes. There were a few birds, mostly in the swamp areas
of course alligators.
The thing that really made it sort of depressing was the freeze
has killed almost all of the the vegetation especially the bromeliads.
If you're in the area probably worth the side trip, but I saw more birds
in the fields and ditches on either side of 41 than I did on Loop Road.
