Beautiful sharp eye and face on this one. The colors in the BG are really nice too! The white rump is a little bright, but can probably be brought under control. I might add a little to the right and take a little from the top like below, but is purely a matter of personal preference.

Amazing BKGR, so painterly. I only wish for the near wing in the full down-stroke position so that we could better see the face. Later and love, artie

Aside from the wing position this is really great. A bit wider DOF would have been nice, too. I really want to see this species sometime. :)

Another nice one Dave. Agree about more DOF for the near wing...also like Jim's suggestion for crop...

Not another snail kite! ;);):D
I love these birds, David. I have never seen one myself.
The colors and the natural background are really attractive to me. It is a great looking bird.
The rump does seem a little hot--but I love the view of the back from above.

Hey Jim, I think your crop suggestion is a good one, thx!

The colours of the bg and the bird contrast and enhance each other superbly. I love that eye and the razor sharp bill. Expertly photographed.
