I like this image Mital. Animal interaction is almost always a plus in my mind. I find it sharp and the background is relatively unobtrusive. Nice work.

Hi Mital,

Could you make a few comments on the identification of these birds. I just happen to have an interest in this species but essentially no experience with it. As far as I can tell you should be in the right place to study them in winter but these don't look quite like the plates in some guides (I expected the mantle feathers to be grayer but with distinct subterminal marks; perhaps they are just slower in molting or you took the picture earlier in the winter). This is not a challenge to the identification, I'm just curious what the locals key in on. The postures of the two birds permit great views of all aspects of the plumage so an excellent image to educate me from.

Great action shot. I like the wing pose of the left bird.
Only with the right bird would have turned it's head slightly more towards the camera.
