I agree with Sudhanshu - these birds keep making up new colors I've never seen before, especially the bee eaters. Great close-up Marc, and very sharp with a perfect, blue background.

Colors, angle and sharpness look very good. The highlights could go darker for my taste and I might have stopped down more to have the beak in focus, too. Was the original overexposed?

Colourful bird. I like the low angle. I agree with Axel regarding the use of a narrow aperture. It is great that you got it nearly full frame. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Well exposed colours Marc, and I like the sharpness. Comp works well, and a great close up.

Beautiful bird and colors. It is nice and sharp too. It maybe needs some CCW rotation? Agree with toning down the highlights. Congratulations.

Appreciate the comments guys.

Thanks Axel
The exposure was spot on Axel, did show some very minor clipping on the lower breast area, used the recovery slider on this area. Perhaps could have used a touch more?
Could have used some more DOF of course.

Thanks Lorant
No CCW needed as the riverbank was simply at an angle to my lens.;)
