Poppy Leaves

Even though the flowers haven't bloomed yet, the poppy plants have come up. The red tips caught my eye, and I like the tiny dew-drop.

That one drop of water totally makes this image special, Aidan. There is one petal towards the top third that has a brighter side to it - I would probably tone that down a little as it competes with the drop of water. Beautiful colors here and a lovely, soft composition. It really sings...

Love the shallow dof and this is a great image. Ditto on the lovely colours and I like how the focus is on the red/pink tips. The water drop is the cherry on top.:)

Thanks everyone. Jules, I hadn't noticed the brighter area. It doesn't really bug me, but I agree that it would look better toned down a little.

Wonderful color, lightness, composition. You achieved much with so little. I like the angle of view and that one drop. I agree with Mike about the red tips, and with Jules re the little area that is brighter. :)
