This is my first posting in this forum... I think it is commonly called Turk's cap. I took this in the morning with filtered sunlight. I used a Canon G11 in macro mode to take this shot. Settings were 1/80 sec, f/2.8, Mode: Av, Exp comp: -1, ISO: 100, subject distance 0.13m. Cropped, adjusted for level, removed bg noise and applied usm. Your C&C will be appreciated.

Nice image Indy. I'd just crop below the two bright spots at the top. Well done mate. :) Maybe you could do a little work on the OOF stems in the BG?

Hey Indranil...good to see you here in macro! I have two suggestions for you. First, I think I would have tried to move a bit to the right to avoid that leaf in the LLC - another option would be to see if you can recover any detail there as the dark area really seems to pull my attention. Secondly, I'd check your red channel's saturation...that orange is really vibrant - might be some clipping there.

I do like your position of the flower in the frame and love the low lighting.

Repost is mich better. I usually find I must desaturate reds about -6 to -10 in Lightroom.
