I am back in Mexico after a 3 months trip without photographing birds. Here is one of the first bird images of the year. Against the light using fill flash.I removed a piece of twig from under the wing and added the frame just to see where the photo ends:-). Looking forward to hear your comments and keep on learning on this great forum. Thanks for looking.

Welcome home my brother. Hope Russia was kind to you with its intense winter cold. :)

Very nicely shot, maybe just a little steep and I wish the branch were not coming towards the camera being rendered OOF. I am sure this was the best option for you at the time thought. I love those colors. :)

You are killing us with the selection of hummer species. The birds is great,
but I think the overall IQ of the image is on the lower side than your previous images.
I would guess the bird was underexposed. If that is the case not bad job in salvaging it.

Thanks for the comments guys. Ilija, I did not adjust the exposure, but I used 19 recovery in ACR. It is a crop of course, so maybe that lowers the IQ as much.

I forgot to add the camera info:
1DMKIII
500mm
ISO250
F:4
1/500
exp.comp:+2.67
flash+BB

Lorant, the light has brought out the colours very well, and you captured a good HA too.
