I photographed this little guy eating away at the botanical gardens in San Antonio, Texas with Canon 5D Mk II. ISO 200, f/2.8, 1/1000 sec, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, 200mm, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash, Comments Welcome....

Agree about sharp details, spot on exposure, nice depth of color, like the composition except that I wish this guy was at eye level.

Very nice color and detail in the fur. I would like to see a little more room on the left for his bushy tail(virtual). Good BG also.

Thanks for all your comments. This is the original before cropping. I wasn't sure if a little tail was better than no tail.

good looking squirrel. i like the way the branch frames the squirrel at the top. personally, i like a little tail vs no tail!;)

I like the second one too, just my opinion.
Love the low ISO for quality and great lens for this close up.

Great looking little critter Richard !! Amazing detail out of that camera !!! ... if available love using a little fill flash on those, very weak !!
