Nicely done, Michael. Caught him right at eye level, good eye contact, sun on the underwing, great detail, and wonderful background. Love it!

Michael, I like the flying pose, with good detail and colours. Stands out nicely against the dark sea.

Michael, Beautiful sharp details and nice pose. I like the angle of capture also. I do know that you have the next frame with the wings down and I would be interested in seeing that one. IMO the wings down for this bird in breeding plumage would be the way to go. :)

The image looks great as presented Michael, but I think Denise brings up a good point about wing position. I don't dislike this wing position at all, but the wings in full downstroke have more visual interest IMO.

Nice capture of a speeding merg! I like this version but I also would like to see the upper wing version. Is this a crop?

Hey Michael, This is good, and sharp. The head is incredible and the detail in the darks is there. And these guys are rockets. Another advantage of the wings down is that the shadow of the near wing would not fall on the bird as it does here. None-the-less, I would love to have this one in my collection.

Beautiful light and well exposed, I like the BG and the colors. well done.
I would try sharpning the eye a bit more.
