I placed my lens just above the water level to have this result of the fg and bg.
Looking forward to the comments whether you like it.

Beautiful pose and creamy background Szimy, I'd be tempted to crop a little tighter at the bottom for a more panoramic look.

And you are already reputable here ;)

Hey Szimi,

What a lovely image, the low angle works very well. The pose is also fantastic and the BG really helps to focus in your main subject. A winner for sure!

The reflection... The BG... The exposure on those lovely whites... The composition.... All spot on!!!!!!

A beautiful capture with extreme low perspective, Szimi!
Agree a slight trim at bottom would make this an even better image ...

Szia Gyuri. :)

I love the pastel feel of the OOF BG and it really accents the whites of your subject. You have done a good job with this image IMHO. :)

The angle and setting are fantastic. Agree on a tighter crop, but just a tiny bit.

What is normally the rule when composing. I received many comments before when I clipped the 'top' of the reflection. Then I followed that recommendation to have the end of the reflection as close to the bottom of the frame as possible. Here if I crop more I loose the completness of reflection. Just want to learn the mechanism of composing. :)

That sounds exciting!!! But I guess I need to spend a lot more time in the field to achieve this if needed at all :D

I guess there's no definite rule, but if the whole reflection is not available, the balance of the image would be better with less at the bottom. To the eyes.

I love your shorebirds, so you have my blessings as a photographer and I admire your desire to improve. That is a big plus in my opinion :)

The low angle and color of the BG really set off the bird well. Great control of the whites as well. I agree a trim from the bottom would help here; unless the reflection is pristine it often doesn't add much to the composition. It may be an optical illusion but to me it looks like it could use a slight CCW rotation.

I love the soft feel to this one. It appears a bit over sharpened to me however.

How do you like this repost?
I need to improve my sharpening technic as I feel also bad by the results I get. To be honest I don't really like to process images with a laptop. At the moment I don't have any other computer available.
