I got a few shots of him posed with a berry in his mouth, but I thought this was an interesting behavioral shot, plus it shows the flashy wing bars.

With all the easy accessible berrys in reach, he had to have that one. :-)

First class, I like everything, detail exposure composition and especially the timing! I also like the natural background it has just a little variation in colour, so often they are perfectly bland and monotonous - nothing wrong with that, but it is sometimes nice to see a little variation in the background.:)

Another superb setup. Capturing him with his beak around his prize, and wings fully fanned, put this one over the top. Well done as usual.

definitely not a 'field-guide pose' :-) loved it Alan....just loved it. And even in this crazy pose, the head angle is awesome. Eyes go straight there and then the bird's feathers and then all around appreciating the perch. Hats off.
