Ken:

Always one of my favorite birds, so soft and subtle.
Nice look back head angle. The eye looks pretty sharp, the beak a bit less so.
There are some unusual marks in the feathers on the right wing, as if some work had been done there.

I might consider trying a version with the saturation lowered a smidge, so that the background isn't quite so intensely lime green. Just personal taste.

If you have the canvas, I also might try a bit off the top, and a little added to the right.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice Ken, love the BKGR colors & sharp eye, but agree with Randy on some of the OOF plummage. These birds can be tough for some reason (at least for me!). BTW, where's Mifflin?

As always, thanks for the suggestions. I didn't do anything to the wings so it must just be some ruffled feathers.

Mifflin is about 15 miles ESE from Jackson.

Very nice. Amazing how cool these birds look up close. I like the pose and focus although the beak is a little soft. BG is nice but maybe not the most complementary color for this bird.
