Took this shot in a corn field between the tall corn leaves which worked as a hide and could get close to the subject .

Shutter Speed 1/320
Aperture F/8

Hi Ram - Very interesting and well done capture. Nice and sharp, with good detail. DOF looks good, I like how the corn stalks frame the perch. Ideally, we wouldn't want the OOF white object behind the perch, but not a huge deal.

I like the perch but I think the bird could be brighter especially the head and eye. It could also stand a little more sharpening if it doesn't bring out too much noise.

Hi Ram, NIce image. I like the composition. I like the perch and the blades that frame it. I also like the nice simple background. I agree with the advice above. I hope you don't mind but I gave the suggestions from Dave and Joel a try. I lightened the bird, added some sharpening (not too much I hope), removed the light out of focus bit behind the perch. I also applied noise reduction to the background. I did this pretty fast. With a little care I am sure the photoshop work could be improved on but, should should give you an idea on how the suggestion would effect the image. Thanks for sharing.

After posting it appears the red of the bird was effected. The Shadow/highlights probably caused this as I did not adjust the colors at all. A little boost in saturation would bring back the color pop. Sorry I should have noticed this when editing.
