This is another of the Rosy Finches that hang out at the top of the Sandia Crest near Albuqueurque, NM. Taken the same day as the Black Rosy that I posted a couple of weeks ago. Cold, blowing snowy kind of day, but it sure made for some nice perch opportunities.

Beautiful bird, perch and pose. Would like a little more room on top. By adding canvas (easy here with bg) above bird this would make a nice vert presentation also. TFS

Keith lovely shot of a bird I am just itching to see...I will be coming down to Albuquerque in February (19th), will they still be around?...I've heard there's sometimes some Golden Crowned sparrows seen here also..
Any how getting back to the image....sharp, nice comp and exposure..TFS

Hi Paul. They should still be around by then. Much depends on how cold it stays up at the crest. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail and I'll do my best to find out before you come down. Keith
