Tough call here. I like the idea and the juxtaposition but not the baby OOF and the mom in focus. However, if you placed the baby in focus, then the really OOF mom butt would probably be distracting.

When faced with this dilemma in Alaska with the bears, I took two images with each subject in focus and combined them later. But since this was film you would not be thinking that way then.

In that case, could you have stopped down and got both with more DOF?

I like the idea Steve....but it is a bit too tight for my taste... Regarding Roberts comment....I think the DOF works really well......and you did very well chosing the mom to be in focus.

Which Sensia did you use here? (100,200,400?).....If it is the ISO100, I'd suggest you to do a rescan....as I think you should be able to get better scanning results from that film.
