Oh man, bummer about the bird taking off away from you! Light looks harsh. You did time it well, and the colours and BG look great.

Even the tongue is there. Lovely shot, Jan, we wait so long and then they take-off at the wrong angle. Will be proud if it was mine!

Yup, the angle is a killer. Colors seem pretty overdone on my monitor. You handled the harsh light well.

Sometimes they are just inconsiderate, flying the wrong way :) other than the angle its a nice shot, very striking colours, light very bright but agree well handled

Lovely sharpness and BG - angle is the real disappointment - stunning bird.

You captured the detail well Jan, but I must agree on the angle and overdone colour.
