While lying on my stomach, I photographed this sanderling feeding in some sea foam in the surf.

Beautiful Ryan. Those little high lights are great and everything looks spot on in the exposure department.
Nice work getting down low too. Definitely does'nt need a rotation if anyone mentions that.

I like the angle, eye contact, BG and foam. I might sharpen the bird a tad more, remove the large specular highlights and find the little light OOF foam area underneath the feet a bit distracting.

I had a chance to shoot sanderlings in very similar conditions recently. Loved the low angle and DOF. The low angle, foam and the bird's pose create a feeling that the bird is not aware of you. loved that.

I think you can crop some off the bottom( since you have enough room for virtual feet) and right to make it even better. Beautiful BG. A little NR will improve it further IMO.

I agree there is maybe a bit too much FG here, and a crop from below would enhance the comp IMO. Nice pose, and I love the foaming action!

Thanks for your feedback Axel!

I'm going to resharpen and work with a different crop now :). Thanks again.
