Found this tree with light green foliage standing out among other greenery around on a lake shore at Savanadurga, about 75KM from Bangalore. Appreciate your views and comments.

Hi Ramesh, Nice coloration and interesting subject. You stated what caught your eye was the difference in the surrounding foliage's color. I don't feel we see enough of that make a good comparison....

Hi Ramesh,
Siplicity is definitely your strength and this image is no exception!.....I agree with Dave here though......Darken/bring out the tonal range of the BG more.....to isolate the lovely tree and bring out more textures....and you have a winner!

Thanks Dave and Roman for your views. Agree with you Dave. I should have included a bit more of the neighboring trees. Roman, will try your suggestions to isolate it more. I took few more images and will process one of them and check it out. Thanks again.

ramesh

Hi Ramesh,
My first thoughts upon viewing echoed by Dave and Roman above. You are definitely on a good track developing a personal style.

I think it's a good idea but, for my taste, we have way too much information. I have cropped tighter and added black to the neutrals in Selective Color. Hope you don't mind.
