After reading Arthur Morris's BAA book a few years ago I was on a mission to capture the birds in the way he instructed. Though a boring bird, I was very chuffed with myself when I took this. I'd love to know what you think.

Chuffed? If that means pleased, then I'd be chuffed too ;) About the only thing that improves this type of image for me is to see right down the throat.

Well, I have never heard the expression "chuffed" before, but this is a fine image to be sure. I like the composition and the open beak, maybe a bit more light in the dark areas.

Thanks Jim!

"chuffed" = quietly proud, giving yourself a pat on your own shoulder when no one is looking! He he...

I like the pose and the light on him. Maybe a little more room up top...

Definitely not your regular portrait image. I guess that I'd be chuffed too.
