I photographed this image about 30 minutes north of Page, Arizona just after sunset handheld with my Canon 5D MK II. To get there you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle and about a 15 minute hike up and over a range until you get to another world. ISO 400, f/8.0, 1/80 sec, EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, 16mm, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash, No Flash. Comments Welcome.........

Hi Richard,
Love the colors and textures! The southwest is a wonderful part of the country for landscape photpgraphy. That is very impressive exposure for auto mode! I am noticing a bit of banding in the sky around the brightest area. Was this full-frame? Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Thx Kerry. I didn't notice the banding, but since you mentioned it..... I would guess a little blur in that area would take care of that. This is full frame.

Hi Richard, I love it. It is beautifully framed and designed right down to the little bush on the lower right. The textures in the light areas of the lower half of the frame are scrumptious.

Did you make a selection of the sky or the table rock? There seems to be a dark outline around the rock in spots.

Lastly, I fixed the title. :) (It's the school teacher in me.)

Richard, I have really enjoyed your posts. I like how it starts with little colour at the bottom and then works the colour up the picture. Truly beautiful.
