Took this one near the shipwreck on the south beach of Jekyll Island GA. As best as I can tell, this is the first sighting of a Snowy in GA since 2000. Cropped slightly in Photoshop

Lovely low angle and niiice light! Nit would be the OOF piece in front, but I'd like to have this in my collection!

Very nice colours and love the look. A little tight in the frame and as mentioned the OOF foreground stuff are my only nits. Ooops, notice a little sharpening halo around the beak too.

Great find and details. The OOF sand (?) in the foreground is a bit distracting. Maybe a slightly higher angle would have helped.

Emory,
Nice capture, feather detail, catch light and head turn. As you discovered, snowys are always setting down in a little depression, so elevating your shooting angle will help get ride of the foreground blur. Nice one.
