Captured this young Sable bull mid morning (8.45am), along the banks of the Chobe River. He has a few more years to mature and take on a shiny black coat. Botswana Sept '09, monopod from vehicle.
D3 500VR 1/750s ISO200@f/5.6 -0.5EV

C & C most welcome

Marc, Beautiful capture, you were so lucky to get this choice specimen, I still have to get any sable! Especially love the eye contact, won't change a thing except print it.

Hi Marc, very nice!!! Excellent detail. :)

BTW Is there enough room to make this a portrait crop too?

I feel they're a difficult animal to get the right crop ratio, due to their large swept back horns.
The first post is a 5X7 (instead of the usual 4X6).

I have one portrait here that is more suitable because the head is turned back 120degs.;)

Hey Marc, I just love the light, detail and sharpness in this. I would just a add a little to the top, and tone down the BG a tad. Great image.
