Very nice image, Peter. I like how you have framed the image with winding creek in the middle. Nice colors.

Peter, I like how the trees form a circle in the image, and what lovely colours captured here.

Hi Peter,
For me the image lacks some elements. While the lighting is OK and handled well, the curve of the river isn't prominant enough and it doesn't lead me to any focal point. Not sure if you could get closer to the curve and eliminate the tree on the right but that may have helped the comp a hair but it still doesn't lead to anything. Maybe a few more clouds would help.....just a little too flat tonally overall for my tastes.

Hi Peter, Agree with Roman regarding the strength of the river as a leading line. I realise you were on a platform and probably did not have complete freedom of movement. If the foliage didn't interfere I might have moved more to the left to eliminate most of the tree which would of also enabled you to crop out a good deal of sky. The only way to make the river stronger was to be higher which under the circumstances probably impossible...

Had the tree not been in the middle of the river....

Thanks for viewing and commenting. Unfortunately the observation deck os only abount 12' wide. I plan on being out that way soon and will check out a winter view.
Thanks again,
Peter

Peter,

A blanket of snow may be just what this view needs. I would try looking for other vistas however as your limited viewing platform is not helping you here.
