shot from the usual place in La Jolla during during christmas holidays.

D300 + 70-200VR (@ 200mm) ISO 400 1/1250th sec f5.

i am a bit bothered by the waves in the background above the bird. what do u folks think?

I like the pose, crop and sharpness but the image looks a bit oversaturated on my monitor.

I love the pose and the sharpness also and agree that you could back off the saturation a bit. I wish the right wing was more in focus. Personal preference would be to give it a bit more room.

Hi Murali - Beautiful shot as posted. I love the spread eagle pose on the pelican and the techs look great to me. I agree with Denise that it might even look better if you crop it a little more loosely. Nice catch.

The color balance in the orig was way too CYAN. I messed around with this a bit and am pretty happy with the result....

ps: The light from the right did not make things easier but I do like the pose and the pano crop.

I actually liked the shot as posted, but after seeing Artie's repost I think I must agree the cyan and/or saturation was a bit much. Layering his over the original and setting 50% transparency yields a good result to my eye.
