Great find, I like the angle, soft light and BG. I find the bird too big in the frame and it could go a bit sharper for my taste.

Tasty spider meal, and I like the yellows of the warbler.

Excellent capture. I like the BG. I also feel the bird looks too big, maybe a wider crop?
I have yet to get a good shot of this species.

Great behavior shot of a beautiful little songbird. I like it as is. I think the size of the bird in the frame, just draws more attention to the bird's behavior, of showing off his catch of the day.

Nice shot, I like the lighting. I also have the 40D...how do you like that lens? Is it sharp? Does it focus fast?

Hi Kris, thank you for the comment on my photo. As far as Tamron 200-500, I can say yes that I like the lens but you have to judge its performance in relative terms. It is not near as sharp or fast focusing as a prime lens of course which costs thousands of dollars more. I suggest you check out the recent discussion in the Photography Gear forum on the Tamron versus the Sigma telephotos. Feel free to drop me an email if you want to discuss the Tamron 200-500 further.

Good point about the lens. I really like tight portraits of animals.
