On my final day at the reserve, we found this very cooperative young female leopard named Mbilo.
In fact in my first visit to Sabi Sand I was lucky enough to photograph her as a cub.

Anyways we drove along while Mbilo would walk close to the car stoping from time to time to check things out.

Hi Danny, I like the stance and intensive stare. Might have 'slightly lightened' the eyes just a fraction. Can't comment too much on colour & balance as I am viewing it on the Mac laptop. :)

Probably could also have got away with f/4 or 5.6 to help shutter speed and or reduce the ISO based on the kit.

Hi Danny,
It is always a nice feeling watching a leopard. I think lowering the white balance would strengthen the image.

Cheers,

There is something that I can not quite put my finger on but I think it is the tail being visible. This I think distracts from the separation from the BG, still a good image.

I think Ken it's because is predominately so black, compare to anything close by. Now you have mentioned it my eye keeps getting drawn to it.

Nice stance and purposeful stare Danny, might allow even some more room on LHS if you have it?
Agree with the tail and cooling the WB a touch.
