Took this picture back in September 2006 when just starting out in digital photography.
Just done a re-edit using PSE and Topaz Detail and De-Jpeg 3.
Details: Canon S2IS 1/100 @ F3.5 71mm centre weighted.
Comments or reposts most welcome.

Certainly an unusual pose and a lot of animation. If there is enough detail in the shadows it might help to lighten the face, esp. around the eye. Nice image.

Thanks Richard
Lightened shadows and sharpened by 40%.

Very pleasant to see this one. A good capture IMO and I think you did well on the repost.

The bird certainly was splish-splashing. The repost is an improvement. Do you have more room in front of the bird? The image could use it.... The white patch and the orange rump (???) draw our eye away from the head even though you lightened it. Not much that you can do about that.... All in all, well done and interesting.

Thanks Kim & Artie.
Well I managed to track down original CD and there is space in front of the Kea.
Folder transferred to "My Documents" for further processing.
Following this will transfer folder to USB drive designated to this subject.
