I took this shot almost at 5 feet distance as this bird was pretty bold to come close and give a pose below a bridge generally where it nests collecting mud mixed in water for the stream .

I love the bird, the pose is great, HA perfect.
What I like the most is the great dominant color.
Perhaps less centered in the frame would improve the composition.
There seems to be bit of noise that lowers the overall IQ
but in any case it is a lovely image.

Looking at your shutter speed I may have tried f6.3

I love the rock color, pose of the bird and head turn. Additional sharpening on the face may be in order.

Great bird and pose. I wish you had pointed your lens more to the left for better comp. I agree about more sharpening to the face. I find the largish reflection in the eye a bit of a distraction, a bit of PS work there would work wonders.
