Jaseur boréal - Seidenschwanz - Bombycilla garrulus
Switzerland 2005-02-20 Lutry

The 2004-2005 invasion of Bohemian Waxwings Bombycilla garrulus in Switzerland.
The invasion of Waxwings in 2004-2005 was the most important that Switzerland has seen in the last 50 years.
More than 8700 sightings were recorded during the period between 21/11/2004 and 23/05/2005.

Pretty cool find, they look like Christmas ornaments. :) I would give it a bit more room at the top and if you have on the right, the clipped branch there is not ideal.

I agree but I havent the choice (no place to walk back) and just 5 seconds to shoot

An excellent image for a Christmas Card.

Very cool find. I like your concept here, but the branch being cut off on the right hurts the impact IMHO.

Nice to see these guys. Had the first few waxwings arrive in my yard a couple of weeks ago. I agree on the right side being a little tight. Is this a fake tree?

For real????? What a christmas tree!!! Can you hit it with some shadow highlight or something to bring out the birds? Fantastic picture--Unbelievable!
