Captured at dawn from Steptoe Butte. I have deliberately left the tones close to the pastels of the moment, and ignored the temptation to dramatize with more contrast. Would be interested to know what others might do.

I really like this one. It has a nice abstract feel to it and agree about the contrast. Might crop a smidge off the bottom to remove that narrow strip of purple. Not sure about the tracks in the upper left...

Hi Stephen, Nice layers of color positioned on a slight diagonal. Soft light adding warmth to the image. I was playing with cropping the top band and like the image a bit more but otherwise a pleasing image...

Hey Stephen,
The soft pallete here is very appropriate but you could also go with the more contrasty version and it would probably work too. I feel that either crop presented above works.....but the Op does too. Nicely done!

Stephen,

You could try a local contrast enhancement (file:///C:/Users/WILDSC%7E1/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.pnghttp://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20434) as that can be more subtle and give a nice definition to the lines in the image.

I like it very much, great advice above. The waving lines and the color comp are excellent.
