Thats what he reminded me of when I focus on him. Its a adult egyptian Vulture, I tried hard on the eye, but they have real dark eyes and even with light directly in their eye its difficult to get detail, I have tried to lighten to top part of the eye to get some depth.

The soft light, sharpness and BG make this one for me and I would try to lighten the iris some.

Aptly titled. Other then the very minor issues with the eye it's pretty dang good.

I might tone down ever so slightly the feather thats above " It's a adult ".

You consistently post excellent images and I look forward to them.

A real beauty Kiran. A good study of an Egyptian Vulture's head as well as how good that 500 and the 1.4 can be in the right hands!

Kiran:

Nice techs, BG and composition. I like the rect. crop because of the head shape.

Somehow a "dead" looking eye seems appropriate for this species.

Lovely portrait Bhai:) We used to have them here in SA but they disappeared in the 1920's as a breeding species, only occasional sightings these days. Lovely head angle, light and sharpness.
