This fungi looked very ordinary from above but underneath was a different story.

A superb specimen Tony and nicely composed - almost resembles a sea-shell !! The colour contrast between the orange fungus and green BG also works very well. Just a couple of dust spots to clone out!! Do you know the name of this specimen?

I agree about the USM the original seemed to lose a little detail when saved for the web.

very interesting specimen and nice even lighting. I also noticed the dust spots.

Hey Tony, very cool subject, great patterns, and color. Like the comp and BG. Well done. If it were mine I would clone out all the little black bumps on the fungi. Very well done.

Excellent tony, The patterns and the muted tones in nice soft light are great to look at. The black dots dont bother as much as the dust spots for me.

Amazing looking funghi!
Wonderful choice of DOF and composition.

When you remove the small dustspots you have a winner!
