When I returned to the owl site in better light, the owls were much farther away and I didn't have the time to work up to them....so....this is a large crop & I wish it were bigger in the frame but I've cropped about as much as I dare.

he is a cute guy , and i like that he is not in center of the frame , the color of the BG looks good , the only thing that is bothers me a little bit is , these little bracnes in the fornt of his legs .. well done Anita .

Hi Anita,
This is a sweet image and capture of this little guy in his natural habitat, you have sharp details and good color rendition...would suggest cropping 1/4 from the top for a tighter perspective...looking forward to your next one...

Beautifully composed, Anita. I like your positioning of the owl and oof bg. Excellent light. I think getting rid of those two prominent branches may enhance this image further. TFS

Agree with the crop suggestions .... would even take a tad from the bottom, the streamlining will strengthen the image, sort of helps out in the direction the bird is viewing !!! Excellent feel !!

Hi Anita - like this a lot - not much more to add to what has already been said.
Hope you keep going back to these guys - looking forward to seeing more :)

I actually like the side lighting in this image due to the direction that the owl looks. It looks like this guy is watching the sunset. This may already be a large crop but I would take a little more off the bottom and top.

Thanks to all!! Agree with a bit more cropping top and maybe bottom. I'll see if I can clean up the branches a bit.
