took this one out in yellowstone, I dont recall what the area was called, it came and was gone in a hurry

500L + 5D, ISO 1250, F4, 1/1000

I did some extensive editing to it, I am not that great at photoshop so lets see if anyone can tell whats going on with it :)

Super eye contact Jamie. Coyote pops nicely. Other than some cloning marks left and lower central you've done a good job. (repeating patterns and sudden softness, aka loss of definition the tell tale signs). Nicely done.

David was right on with the PS, you did well just remember the repeating patters !!! Love the feel of this one, good bg and great eye contact !!!

Alfred this one you guys did not see we found him on the side of the road back to town just after we were shooting the eagle on the side of the road, he didnt stick around long.

A nice image of this Coyote in his environment, with a distrustful look in his eye!
With the ISO at 1250, some selective NR on the BG would further improve this Jamie.

how about this instead ? cloned out a small twig in foreground, rocks in the bg, tried to fix neck, and then did nr

the idea of removing the rock was a good idea, I didnt realize how much that was intruding until it was mentioned

man I love this place !! no book can teach people what you learn here very quickly, on other forums most people just say great picture (to nearly everything) when in reality there are tons of improvements that could be made

I had cropped this head from another picture of him peeking around a tree to see where we were :)

I like that by removing the rock, the image appears cleaner. I really like the look he is giving you and the inclusion of the environment.

Nice work. I actually prefer the one with the rock in the BG. For me it completes the brush line behind in the BG.

Hey Jamie, I almost missed this. The final product looks pretty good. Great eye contact. A little more work on blending in the neck would help. Good idea here.... I remember going out after this guy... I could go either way with the rock.
