Hi Joe - a big warm welcome to the BPN family - nice first post. Please do include your full tech details including aperture and shutter speed.
I like this a lot - some might say the branches etc are a distraction - I think it shows the habitat nicely. like the intense stare and eye contact. Might sharpen and lighten the eyes just a tad.
I would also be tempted to crop a little from the LHS - lets see what everyone else thinks.

Thanks very much Lance for the welcome, comments and feedback. As you suggested, I will try sharpening and lighten the eyes. Of course, it would have preferable for cat's head to be in more direct sun light but you have to take what you are given in situations like this. I see your point about cropping a little on the LHS and will also give this a try.

Hi Joe and welcome to the BPN family. I love the capture and agree with Lance as to techs. I would adjust the levels or curves just a bit to up the contrast. Great job and keep 'em coming.... Congrats!!!

Hi Joe, and welcome. This is a nice capture. I agree with Lance about the branches and habitat. I think they add to the feel of this animal in its element. I don't know
the true colors of this cat, but the image apears to me to have a cyan cast. If so, I would fix that and crop it a little on the right and a little more on the left.

I also sharpened a little (selectively) with Topaz Detail and enhanced the catchlights just a bit and darkened the bright area at top left.
