This image was taken on our fall trip to Glacier. It was taken as the very first color was beginning to appear in the sky between two large peaks. A larger image can be seen on our website at http://www.ourphotographicjourneys.com/17%20Fall%20Canada/Gallery%20Panoramas.htm

It is a merged photograph from five images taken at 100mm, f4.5, ISO400,1/25 seconds. Thanks for looking.<O:p</O:p

Hi Phil, Beautiful sky with the right amount of silouette. The moon placement is nice and adds greatly to the image. I might crop a little before the slope on the right side. It will take the peak off center and IMO strengthen the image.

Wonderful colors. This really reminds me of a great histogram! :D Until Dave mentioned off centering the central peak, I never even thought that. But now it sort of makes some sense. :)

Beautiful. The small size here doesn't do justice to it. Checked the big one on your website and it blew me away. I would love to see more sky but you probably did not have it in the orig captures.

Phil,

I agree with Akos, you have to see the large one as the center-itis Dave mentioned is not as prominent in the large version.

The large version is much better. I love the drama and simplicity. The Moon is a nice touch.

Hey Phil,
I too feel the crop would strengthen this but I love the lines and colors. I would also explore going with a crop off both sides keeping the centered comp. Simple silhouettes are some of my favorites and this one is no exception! I really like that you didn't have a full moon as the crecent moon adds a very nice final touch to the scene. Very well done!
